چکیده

Resolving the photonic modes in real space is essential to understand fundamental process and control of behavior optoelectric devices. However, understanding semimetal Cd3As2 still lacking. Herein, quasicylindrical waves (QCW) on nanoplates using photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM) are found out. The QCW due optical field scattered by subwavelength indentations, with wavelength being same as incident light, their amplitude decays r−1/2 from edges. transverse magnetic (TM) mode dominates observed nanoplates, which affected edge structure. In broadband UV visible, QCWs observed. Further, nanostructures achieve focusing interference lattice achieved. These findings demonstrate regulation QCW, benefits optimizing optoelectronic performances materials future.

Model for the Semimetal Yb 4 As 3

We present a model which can explain semiquantitatively a number of the unusual properties of Yb4As3. The structural phase transition at Tc ≃ 300K is described by a band Jahn-Teller effect of correlated electrons and is interpreted as a charge ordering of the Yb ions. The low carrier concentration in the low-temperature phase follows from the strong electron correlations of the 4f-holes on the ...

Two-dimensional chalcogenide nanoplates as tunable metamaterials via chemical intercalation.

New plasmonic materials with tunable properties are in great need for nanophotonics and metamaterials applications. Here we present two-dimensional layered, metal chalcogenides as tunable metamaterials that feature both dielectric photonic and plasmonic modes across a wide spectral range from the infrared to ultraviolet. The anisotropic layered structure allows intercalation of organic molecule...

Dirac semimetal in three dimensions.

We show that the pseudorelativistic physics of graphene near the Fermi level can be extended to three dimensional (3D) materials. Unlike in phase transitions from inversion symmetric topological to normal insulators, we show that particular space groups also allow 3D Dirac points as symmetry protected degeneracies. We provide criteria necessary to identify these groups and, as an example, prese...

Tungsten Ditelluride: a layered semimetal

Tungsten ditelluride (WTe2) is a transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) with physical and electronic properties that make it attractive for a variety of electronic applications. Although WTe2 has been studied for decades, its structure and electronic properties have only recently been correctly described. We experimentally and theoretically investigate the structure, dynamics and electronic prop...
